# Something not working? Tell us.

Curate is made by a small team, which means two things. Your message is read by somebody who can actually fix what you are describing, and it may take us a day or two to get back to you. Most things below are answered faster than we can answer them.

The more of it you fill in, the shorter the conversation. If you are reporting something that went wrong, what you did and what happened instead is worth more than anything else you can tell us.

## A form that reaches a person.

This form needs JavaScript to send. It is off, so use the address below instead – it reaches exactly the same place. [hello@getcurate.ai](mailto:hello@getcurate.ai)

Your name Optional

So we know what to call you.

Email address Required

Where the reply goes. We use it for that and nothing else.

Your message Required

What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.

What you write is stored in the EU alongside the rest of Curate, used to answer you, and kept no longer than the correspondence is useful. [The privacy policy](/privacy/) says it properly.

### The questions below

Nine of the ten things people write in about are answered further down this page, and reading takes less time than waiting for a reply.

Billing

### Subscriptions live in the App Store

Cancelling, restoring and refunds are Apple’s to do, not ours. We can tell you where to tap; we cannot do it for you.

Your data

### Export and deletion are buttons

Everything you have saved exports from Settings, and deleting your account is a button beside it. Neither needs us.

## The things people ask.

How do I get my things out of Curate?

Settings, then Export. Everything you have saved comes out as JSON or CSV, including the article text, your tags and your highlights. It works on the free plan, it always will, and you do not have to ask us for it.

How do I delete my account?

Settings, then Delete account. It is reversible for thirty days – signing back in during that time cancels it – and after that everything goes, including anything we had read for you.

I saved something and it is still processing.

A save is queued and read a moment later, so a few seconds is normal. Longer than that usually means the page refused us, or you have spent your twenty for the month – in which case the item is safely in your library and we read it when the allowance resets. If it has been stuck for an hour, write to us with the link.

A recipe came out wrong.

Tell us the link. Recipes are read from the markup a site publishes, so a site that marks up its page oddly is something we can usually fix once and for everybody. You can also edit any recipe by hand in the meantime – your edits are yours and we never write over them.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On your iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Curate, Cancel. Subscriptions are bought through the App Store, so Apple holds them and we cannot cancel one for you. Everything you have saved stays readable and searchable afterwards, forever.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are Apple’s to give, through reportaproblem.apple.com. If the reason is something Curate did wrong, write to us anyway – we will tell Apple what happened, which helps.

Do my things sync between devices?

Yes, to every device you sign in to, over our own servers in the EU. Captures, edits, tags, highlights and where you had got to in an article all travel. If two devices disagree, the newer edit of each field wins rather than the newer copy of the whole item, so two people editing different parts of one recipe do not overwrite each other.

Is my library used to train anything?

No. Nothing you save is used to train a model, by us or by anybody we use. What we read, we read for you.

Which languages does Curate work in?

The app itself is in English for now. This site is in four languages, and you are welcome to write to us in any of them – we will reply in the one you wrote in.

I have an idea for it.

Send it. Pick "An idea or a request" above and be specific about the thing you were trying to do rather than the feature you think would fix it – that is the version we can actually act on.

## Or just email us.

The form above ends up in the same place. If you would rather write from your own mail client, or attach a screenshot, this is the address.
